The importance of early developmental psychology

Well, it is not “OK” and someone should let them know. It is 2024, and perhaps the modern society of the XXI century is falling short in giving proper instruction to their future generations. There is a good number of material in social media about the modern phenomenon of the tech tantrum. As seen on many YouTube videos, toddlers addicted to screen technology, have shown to behave in an aggressive crying response when deprived from smartphones or related technology. Maybe parents might feel heartbroken to see their children suffer, or they just don’t want to deal with an irritating crying child, but “Saying no is an important responsibility for parents” (Kennedy-Moore, 2017).

It could be that the most important stage in a person’s life is that of the psychological development of childhood. Babies are dependent on almost every single level to their parents. The milk provided to a child depends on the breast and health of the mother to produce food. Protection against possible dangers is provided by the baby’s parents; but what about the psychological aspect?.
