Sir Humply Dumply Lee
In a quaint little town by a bubbling sea,
Lived a mischievous flea named Sir Humply Dumply Lee.
He wore a top hat and a monocle too,
And rode on a dog named Captain McDoo.
Humply loved parties, and boy, could he dance!
He’d jump on the floor and boogied and pranced.
One day he decided, “Let’s have a grand ball,
Invite all the critters, the big and the small!”
The word spread around, from the ants to the bees,
From the mice in the fields to the birds in the trees.
The night of the ball, with the moon shining bright,
All gathered together, it was quite a sight.
The band started playing a tune full of cheer,
And Humply Lee whispered, “The party starts here!”
He hopped to the front with a leap and a bound,
And everyone watched as he spun round and round.
The cats did the tango, the dogs did the twist,
The crickets played fiddles, they couldn’t resist.
The frogs sang a chorus, all ribbits and croaks,
While Humply Lee picked a fight with some frogs.
“Hairless creatures you shouldn’t trust”
spoke the flea with disgust.
